A1 Motorcycle Training in Bridgwater

be at least 17 years of age
have completed your CBT (Compulsory Basic Training)
hold a valid driving licence (full or provisional)
have passed the motorcycle theory test.
Our hourly fee is £49.50 (including VAT) and we provide helmets with built in state of the art two way communication systems as well as motorcycle jackets, gloves and waterproofs, if required, all free of charge.
The DVSA test charge is £15.50. This is the off-road test and normally takes about 20 minutes. It includes basic control, emergency stop and hazard avoidance. After taking the test you’ll be told if you’ve passed, in which case you’ll be issued with a Module 1 Pass Certificate which you’ll need to take to the Module 2 Test.
Courses are typically run over three sessions of 3 to 4 hours each, which allows us sufficient time to train you to pass both the Module 1 and the Module 2 practical tests. The sessions can be run on successive days or over a period of weeks to suit your preference and availability. Your Module 1 and Module 2 tests are normally booked after your first session so that your instructor has had time to assess how much training you need. We aim to get you to the test centre about half an hour before your Module 1 test so that we can hopefully watch a 'live' test being conducted and talk you through what we see.
It is possible to condense the training into 2 days by taking your Module 1 and Module 2 on the same day but we do not recommend it. This because there’s not time for you to receive as much Module 2 training on the second day (which reduces your chances of a first time pass) plus there’s the financial risk that if you fail Module 1, you will not be able to take your Module 2 test and so will lose the associated test fee. You will then be faced with having the cost of a Module 1 resit, plus the cost of rebooking your Module 2 test.
Module 1
The DVSA test charge is £75. This is the on-road test and normally takes about 40 minutes. It includes an eyesight check, ‘show me, tell me’ vehicle safety questions, road riding in various road and traffic conditions and independent riding. After taking the test you’ll be told if you’ve passed, in which case you’ll be issued with a Pass Certificate and you’ll be able to ride without L plates immediately.
Module 2
The Module tests are taken during separate dedicated sessions when you will be accompanied there and back by our instructor and will have the use of our motorcycle and all associated equipment.
Module test dates and times are subject to DVSA timetables but we always endeavour to arrange test sessions to fit in wherever possible with our student’s convenience and availability.
Module Test Sessions
We charge a fixed fee for each of the Module test sessions which covers our instructor accompanying you to and from the test and remaining with you for however long it takes. It also includes the use of our machines and riding equipment. The fee for Module 1 is £115 and for Module 2 is £140, both including VAT.
T&K Motorcycle Training Bridgwater - Payment Options
Our A1 Motorcycle training courses include an initial 3 hour assessment lesson to start off with at our hourly rate of £49.50 per hour further training is assessed from there.
Payment for test days is taken upfront upon booking with Mod 1 test day being £130.50 and Mod 2 being £215 totalling £345.50 for both, all inclusive of VAT. This is an all inclusive price for the test days unless additional training is required or requested on the day.
